Stamping Stray Ducklings – Color Combination Challenge!

Welcome to our August Blog Waddle! We are featuring color combinations to create our cards!! I looked around for a color combination created by someone else, but did not find one I wanted to use. I do use this site: http://colorlab.mycreateink.com when I am looking for a combination. I knew I wanted bright colors, but I didn’t find anything I liked, so I created my own. I put Garden Green, Daffodil Yellow, Poppy Parade, and Gorgeous Grape together. How do you pick colors for your card?

My card base is Thick Basic White using the lattice front card design. I thought the Dainty Delight Dies (#160674) would be perfect in front of my “fence”. Using scraps of all the colors in my color combination, I die cut the pieces. Don’t you love the texture and depth of these flowers!? A Happy Birthday sign was created from a scrap of Basic White and Poppy Parade ink using the Pansy Patch stamp set (#154999) for the sentiment, punched out with the Double Oval punch (#154242) and hung on the fence with a piece of Sweet Sorbet twine from the 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine Pack (#159195) I added a piece of Daffodil Delight inside to accentuate the fence.
