Stamping Stray Ducklings – Sketch!

Welcome to our July Blog Waddle! We are featuring how to use a sketch for your cards!!

I picked a sketch from Pagemaps, a fantastic resource for card and scrapbook sketches! I just got the Little Monkey stamp set (#161372) this week and decided it will work very well with the sketch I chose. Becky@pagemaps was so kind to give me the measurements of the layers. Then I figured out if I made the image 4.25″ wide, I can use my. clear ruler and figure out the measurements myself!!

Here’s the sketch:

My card base is Basic White with a layer of Fresh As A Daisy DSP (#161289). This sketch really begs for several DSP patterns, so I also used pieces from Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ DSP (#161449) and Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP (#161643).

I used scraps of Pretty Peacock and Granny Apple Green for the tag topper, and the horizontal pieces. The tag is a little shorter than a tag in the Tailor Made Tags Dies (#155563), so after cutting the full tag, I moved the bottom of the die up to the correct length and then cut just the bottom of the tag. The tag top is tied with twine from Baker’s Twine Essential Pack (#155475). The bananas are stamped in Daffodil Delight and colored with Blends.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Birthdays!

Welcome to our June Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world! Each demonstrator has created projects for birthdays! Below my card is a list of links to all of the participating bloggers.

My card features the Dainty Delight cling stamp set (#161078)! I love the delicate and detailed flowers in this set! The card base is Highland Heather with a layer of Basic Black. First I used Pool Party on a Blending Brush (#153611)on the Basic White layer. Next I stamped the flower image in Gray Granite. Then I colored each leaf, stem and flower with a variety of Stampin’ Write Markers. I completed my card with a bow of Black & White Gingham ribbon (#156485), some Brushed Brass Butterflies (#158136), and the sentiment from Pansy Patch (#154999).
