Here are the cards we made Monday night during our Mystery Stamping Zoom. It’s called a matchbook fold. There are SO many wonderful possibilities with this card! So many beautiful Designer Series Papers! Use up your stash! Here is my sample card.

Here are the cards we made Monday night during our Mystery Stamping tonight. It is a wonderful card that looks difficult, but it really isn’t. Look at the variety of cards we made. There are SO many wonderful possibilities with this card! So many beautiful Designer Series Papers! Use up your stash!

Here is the guide for adhering the strips.

Add the underneath layer first. This should be the paper you will see the least.

Add the second set of strips at the opposite angle. Trim off the excess paper.

My finished card, well, I will add a sentiment before I mail it!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Celebrating Birthdays!

Welcome to our 1st Paper Crafting Blog Hop of 2022 with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the world! Each demonstrator is featuring projects for birthdays!

You may have arrived here from Sandra’s blog. She had a great project! My card features the Friendly Hello Bundle – yes BUNDLE – from the 2022 Sale-A-Bration brochure – yes Sale-A-Bration – meaning it’s free with a $100 order!! The bundle includes the Friendly Hello photopolymer stamp set and the Friendly Hello 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper (DSP).

The card base is Basic White with a layer of the DSP on it. Then a smaller piece of Vellum Card Stock (#101856), stamped with images in Jet Black Stazon Ink (#101406) was added. This is the ink you want to use on porous surfaces, like vellum. Then I stamped the bird on a branch image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) on Basic White and colored it lightly with alcohol markers. The sentiment from this wonderful SAB set is stamped in Pool Party. All images were adhered carefully with the adhesive hidden behind the solid pieces of the card. Three Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added for a little bling!

We are 2 weeks into Sale-A-Bration, time to look through the annual and mini catalogs and order what you must have and earn free products!

Stampin Stray Ducklings January Blog Waddle!

Happy New Year! Welcome to our monthly Blog Waddle! This month our projects feature products from the Sale-A-Bration flyer. You may have arrived here from Lori Helvick’s blog.  Following me is Kim Baker’s blog.

I picked the Friendly Hello stamp set and the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper (DSP) which comes together in the Friendly Hello Bundle, free with a $100 order. I started with a Fresh Fresia card base and added a layer of Basic White with strips of the DSP. A Granny Apple Green scalloped circle backs a Basic White circle on which I stamped the bird for one card and flowers for my second card. The sentiment is also included in the Friendly Hello stamp set and stamped in Fresh Fresia. Stampin’ Write Markers were used to color the bird and flowers.
