Stampin Stray Ducklings New Catalog Products Blog Waddle!

Welcome to our monthly Blog Waddle! This month we are featuring projects using products from the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. You may have arrived here from Lori Helvick’s blog.  Following me is Kim Baker’s blog. Let us know what you think of these fantastic cards!

I love the Beauty of the Earth Suite (#155843) found on pages 10 and 11. The suite includes the Beauty of Friendship Bundle (#155834), Beauty of the Earth DSP (#155841), and the Bark embossing folder (#155431).

I started with a Mossy Meadow card base, scoring at 4-1/4″ and 7″. The DSP on the front is 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″ and the two complimentary pieces are 1-1/2″ x 5-14″ and 1-1/4″ x 5-1/4″. To make the tree on the front, I used the Beautiful Trees Dies (#155840) to cut the background piece in Mossy Meadow, the trunk in Early Espresso, and the front piece in Old Olive. Inside, the Basic White piece inside is 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″. The sentiment is from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set(#154983), stamped in Mossy Meadow on Basic White, layered onto a scrap of Cinnamon Cider.

The front flap is adhered at the top and the bottom, which allows a gift card to be put inside!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Thinking of You

Welcome to our May Paper Crafting Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the world! Each demonstrator is featuring thinking of you cards for the guys!

You may have arrived here from Tracy Held’s blog. I love her project! I chose the Sailng Home cling stamp set (#149457) along with the coordinating Smooth Sailing Dies (#149576 )for my card. The card base is Misty Moonlight with a layer of In Good Taste DSP (#152494). I am amazed at the movement in this paper. It is so pretty!

I used the Layering Circle Dies (#151770) with the sailboat popped up on top of it. I stamped the birds, sailboat and sentiment in Midnight Muse. The extra waves were hand drawn with the Midnight Muse Stampin’ Write Marker. The sentiment is from the Art Gallery photopolymer stamp set (#158201). A small piece of White Bakers Twine anchors the left end of the sentiment, die cut with the Floral Gallery Dies (#154316).

Here are up close pictures of the Designer Series Paper used on this card. The side I used on my card and the reverse. Aren’t they amazing?!
