Paper Crafting Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators September blog hop! You will find Halloween or Fall designs for cards, scrapbooks, party favors or 3-D projects!

I chose the Cat Punch (#144666) with Basic Black and Crushed Curry cardstock. I added a double-bow of Crushed Curry 3/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (#149444) and a tag with a sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings (#151331) stamped in versamark and heat-embossed Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#146956).
A great quick card!

Stray Ducklings’ Stamping Blog Waddle

Thanks for joining the Stampin Stray Ducklings this month to see our Fall/Halloween cards. You may have arrived here from Nancy Legate’s blog.  Following me is Kim Baker’s blog. Let us know what you think of our projects!

I created my card using the Harvest Hellos cling stamp set (#150581) and the Apple Builder punch (#150663). These are also sold as a bundle at a 10% discount (#153037). I was inspired by a card Sheryl Diemer made for a demonstrator swap.

The card base is a 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Crumb Cake. Layered on it is Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler, which was stamped with the Buffalo Check stamp in Soft Suede.
The apple was stamped in soft suede on cherry cobbler and punched. The stem is soft suede and the leaf old olive. These are mounted on whisper white and old olive squares cut with stitched squares.

The inside apple was colored with Stampin’ Blends and mounted on whisper white and old olive stitched squares. The slider piece is 6″ x 2″ punched and then tied with the new cherry cobbler 3/8″ diagonal stripe ribbon and linen thread. Isn’t it pretty?

Stray Ducklings July Waddle

This month we are sharing summer/beach themed projects. You may have arrived here from Nancy Legate’s blog.  Following me is Sheryl Diemer’s blog. Let us know what you think of our projects!

I created my card using the brand ne stamp set Floral Essence (#151055) and the sentiment from Varied Vases (#146644). I used Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry and Old Olive. I started with the Rectangle Framelits and yes, I fussy cut the flowers, but they didn’t take very long. The leaf stamp fits the leaf punch, so no fussy cutting that one!

Stampin’ Up put 3 new stamp sets into a “beginner stamper” brochure. The Magnolia Bundle in the catalog is fabulous with the stamp set/dies. And this stamp set is a great addition if you already have that bundle or if you want just a little bit of magnolias in your life!

There is also a bundle of items to make it easy for the beginner stamper. The Magnolia Lane Card Bundle (#152868). $45.50
It includes the Magnolia Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set—6 stamps, Clear Block D, two of the 1″ Classic Stampin’ Spots, Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede, Magnolia Lane Small Memories & More Card Pack (10 double-sided printed cards) and 10 note cards/10 envelopes, and SNAIL Adhesive.

This is a fantastic kit to help new stampers get started.

Hoot Hoot Hooray!

The third beginner stamper bundle is Hoot Hoot Hooray (#149352) $21.

There is also a Hoot Hoot Hooray Cards Bundle (#152871) for $60. It includes the Hoot Hoot Hooray Cling (rubber) Stamp Set–6 stamps, Clear Block D, full size Basic Gray Classic Stampin’ Pad,  20 Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes, 13 Watercolor Pencils in Basic Black, Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, and Whisper White.

New 3D Embossing Folders

The New-Style 3D Embossing Folders are Now Available Again!
When we changed our manufacturer for our dies/folders it meant catching up on the designs from last year’s catalog.  These are now back in stock and orderable:

BASKET WEAVE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER (item 151797)
LACE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER (item 151815)
SEASONAL WREATH 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER (item 151796)
SUBTLE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER (item 151775)
TIN TILE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER (item 151801)
COUNTRY FLORAL 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER (item 151823)

just a reminder -If you have purchased any of the 3D folders since June from the new catalog, you will need a blue plate for them to emboss well in your Big Shot. These are slightly thinner and will need the new plate to get a good impression.
Just use it in place of your clear cutting plate!
(the thicker 3D folders only use one cutting plate, not 2)

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Happy Birthday

Welcome to our Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators August blog hop! We are featuring birthday cards this month! This is the card i made for my mother to send to my daughter for her birthday. My daughter loves blue. I chose the Beauty Abounds (#148726) clear mount stamp set ($23) and used the Butterfly Beauty Dies (#151819) ($39) for the butterflies. The card base and butterflies are in Balmy Blue and Night of Navy on top of that. The card front is Whisper White, stamped in black Memento and Balmy Blue inks. The stamp from Beauty Abounds was colored with Stampin’ Blends.
