Below my full card picture is a list of links to all of this month’s participating bloggers. Please leave a comment and tell us what you think of our projects!
Isn’t the scenic Designer Series Paper (DSP) so lovely to work with? The Splendid Autumn DSP (#164173) is one of my favorites and as I start to think of Fall projects, this is perfect!! I started with a card base of Cajun Craze with an extra 1″ strip embossed with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder (#164049). The DSP is cut at 3″ to make 2 cards. The tall grass from Prairie Grass stamp set (#166168) was stamped in Early Espresso directly on the DSP. I live on the prairie of Illinois and I think these stamps are gorgeous!
I hope you found some inspiration for your next paper crafting project for when you want to send a Get Well or Thinking of You card. Enjoy hopping through the blogs, looking at all of our projects! Please leave comments to let us know you stopped by!

Welcome to our August Blog Waddle! We call ourselves ducklings, so we waddle from blog post to blog post, instead of hopping!! We are featuring fun fold cards! Here’s a preview of my card.
I love the Charming Day Bundle (#166136) and the coordinating Floral Charm DSP (#166125). The DSP is 15% off this month while supplies last, so if you love it, too, order it soon! The card base is Berry Burst measuring 5-1/2″ x 11″, scored at 4-1/4″ and 8″. With the 4-1/4″ panel to your left, create an angle by cutting from the top of the middle score line down to the next score line, about 2 3/4″ from the bottom of the card. Then cut from the bottom of the angle in a straight line to create the small flap that is the front of the card.
DSP on the small front flap is cut to 2 3/4″ x 2 1/2″. The Brights DSP (#165301) on middle panel and the white panel behind it on the inside are both cut to 3 1/2″ x 5 1/4″. Cut on an angle from the top left down to about 2 1/2″ from the bottom. Cut on an angle from the top left down to about 2 1/2″ from the bottom right. I stamped and colored a flower from the Charming Day stamp set and die cut it. I cut a Stitched Shapes circle from the left over triangle of Brights DSP and added the flower on top and White 1/4″ Ribbon (#165276)behind it.

Clue #1 Vertical/Portrait card, Gather your supplies: Colored Card Stock: card base* – 1 @ 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 OPTIONAL If putting this on the back of your card, cut your DSP to only 5-1/4 TALL X 12 WIDE. DSP: – 1 @ 5-1/2 TALL x 12 WIDE, best to like both sides of your DSP. You will see more of one side than the other. Score at 3, 6-1/2, 10-1/2. Your front of card will be the left end 3” panel; fold mountain, valley, valley. White/Vanilla Card Stock (CS): – 1 or 2 @ approx. 3 x 4-1/2 Rectangle, Oval, Arch, Label or a little smaller. There are SO many options to finish your card. I used ovals matted with oval scallops behind, 2 sizes of the old Deco Labels Dies, and more. Look at the samples to see what you might like to do for your card! Embellishments: – for embellishments, use something that goes along with your DSP. You can use a lot or just a little.

Clue #1 Vertical/Portrait card, Gather your supplies: Colored Card Stock: card base – 1 @ 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, score at 4-1/4. Mark 2-1/2″ from the top right corner in toward the fold. Cut from the mark down to the bottom right corner. – 1 @ 1-1/2 x 5-1/2, cut from the top left corner down to the bottom right corner. DSP: – 1 @ 5-1/4 tall x 4 wide. Mark 2-1/2″ from the top right corner. Cut from the mark down to the bottom right corner. Save the cut off triangle for another card. – 1 @ 5 tall x 2-1/4 wide, different from first piece. Cut from the top left corner down to the bottom right corner. Then cut 3/8″ off the base of this triangle White/Vanilla Card Stock (CS): – 1 @ 4 x 5-1/4 Embellishments: – for embellishments, use something that goes along with your DSP but isn’t too large. Adding just a sentiment on the front is great, too.
Layer the small DSP on the small triangle and the larger triangle DSP on the larger triangle. Then layer on the card base creating a fan, keeping your tips inside the cardbase.
I created my card from a card I made at a demonstrator shoe box swap, so I have no directions. Karla suggested Mary Deatherage’s directions found here. Her measurement at the top is not the same as mine. She has each piece of DSP matted on her card.

Welcome to our July Blog Waddle! We call ourselves ducklings, so we waddle from blog post to blog post, instead of hopping!! We are featuring cards for Summer or Scrapbooking! I am going to try to cover both. Here’s a preview of my card.
I love the Sunrise Sailing Bundle (#165497) and it includes a Hybrid Embossing Folder (#165496) that is amazing! It can die cut and emboss at the same time. for special handy guys. The card base is Secret Sea with a layer of Basic White embossed. Then I stamped the sailboat in Secret Sea and Coastal Cabana for the color on the sails. After die cutting the sail boat and the largest circle from Stylish Shape Dies (#1599183) in Calypso Coral, the card is nearly ready to assemble. The birds were stamped in Secret Sea and the sentiment, too.
Are you new to scrapbooking or a seasoned scrapper? Stampin’ Up! has a fantastic scrapbook kit in the Annual Catalog called Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Kit (#167315). And there is a coordinating Weekend Adventures stamp set (#167318) to combine both crafts I love!
KIT DETAILS – Makes three two-page scrapbook spreads – Page size: 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) – Colors: Basic Beige, Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Misty Moonlight, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pecan Pie, Very Vanilla
Kit includes one of each item listed below. – Step-by-step instructions – 10 sheets of Designer Series Paper – 10 sheets of Two-Tone Cardstock – 3 sheets of printed stickers and precut images – Photo placeholders
The only thing you may want to add is some Linen Thread (#104199). I like to make my supplies go farther, so I cut a frame from one of the pages and created an extra page. You can buy extra stickers, DSP, and card stock bundles to make more pages. This is the page as shown in the kit.
Here, you can see I cut a piece out of the middle of the base DSP, slightly smaller than the blue piece.
And here is the start to my extra page. All I need to do is add some clusters of embellishments, journaling, and my pictures and the page is done!
You are always welcome to join me on 2 Monday nights a month at 7:30 p.m. Central Time for Mystery Stamping! Let me know you are interested and I will send the Clues and Zoom invite to you!

Welcome to our June Paper Crafting Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world featuring projects for the special guys in our lives. Here is a sneak peek of my card. Below my full card picture is a list of links to all of this month’s participating bloggers.
I love the Loveliest Tree stamp set (#163714) and Loveliest Tree Dies (#163715) both a part of the Loveliest Tree Bundle (#163716) at a 10% savings. So fitting for a masculine card. I wanted a very muted, soft look to this card, so I started with a card base of Mossy Meadow with a layer of Crumb Cake.
I used 2 of the squares from Stylish Shapes Dies (#159183) to cut and create the frame. The tree was stamped in Crumb Cake over the Crumb Cake layer. Next, I inked the tree with sponge daubers directly onto the stamp using Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow, and Old Olive. I used a scrap piece of Crumb Cake to stamp Happy Birthday from Loveliest Tree and the new Hole Punch Assortment (#165409) to punch the hole and added a piece of Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack (#155475)
Thanks for hopping with us this month. Next go to –> Maureen’s blog to see what she has created.
