Stamping Stray Ducklings June 2025 Blog Waddle

Welcome to our June Blog Waddle! We call ourselves ducklings, so we waddle from blog post to blog post, instead of hopping!! We are featuring cards for the Special Guys in our lives! Here’s a preview of my card.

I love the Trusty Tools stamp set (#163274) and the Trusty Tools Dies (#162722) for special handy guys. My sweet hubby rarely says no to my decorating and gardening ideas. I am SO lucky! I started with a Basic White card base with a layer Basic Beige on top. Then I cut 2 strips of Pecan Pie at 1-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ and a piece of Timeless Plaid DSP (#164678) the same size. Next I put the 2 pieces of Pecan Pie together and stamped the various tools in Pecan Pie across both pieces. I stamped the hammer and wrench in Basic Black and colored them with Smoky Slate Blends and a stamped off Pecan Pie for the hammer handle.

A leftover piece of Basic Beige was the perfect size for the Happy Father’s Day sentiment, stamped in Pecan Pie!

A narrow strip of Secret Sea, another new 2025-2027 In Color peeks out from the left hand side of the DSP. Secret Sea ink was used for the branch and the stamped words. Lovely was dies cut from Petal Pink. A quick easy card!

Monday Mystery Stamping – 5/19/25

I really like this card for using DSP and a nice focal panel.

Clue #1  Vertical/Portrait card, Gather your supplies:

Colored Cardstock
–  1 @ 5-1/2 x 6-3/8, score on the long side at 4-1/4

–  1 @ 3-1/2 x 4, score at 2 on the long side, attach on the outside flap of the card base, putting the fold over the edge of the card base BEFORE adding DSP

Coordinating Colored Card Stock:
–   1 @ 3-1/4 x 3-3/4, layer this onto the 3-1/2 x 4 piece above, with adhesive ONLY on the bottom half

Designer Series Paper (DSP):
–  1 @ 1-7/8 high x 5-1/4 wide
–  1 @ 1-1/2 high x 5-1/4 wide, layer this on the 5-1/4 x 4 White/Vanilla piece, attach inside card

White/Vanilla Card Stock (CS):
–  1 @ 5-1/4 x 4
–  1 @ 3 x 3-1/2, This is your focal point.  It is 3 wide and 3-1/2 tall.

Embellishments small to medium:
use something that goes along with your DSP and something small to make the front panel stand up and it folds flat to mail

I hope you like this fun-fold card! Please join us if you would like to make a card without knowing what it is until you are done!!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – April Last Chance Products!

Welcome to our April Paper Crafting Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world featuring products on the Last Chance List and/or Mother’s Day! Here is a sneak peek of my card. Below my full card is a list of links to all of the participating bloggers.

I love the Hot Air Balloon stamp set (#162748) and the Hot Air Balloon Dies (#162754) both on the Last Chance List. They remind me of our trip to Albuquerque for the balloon fiesta! My card base is Daffodil Delight, with a layer of Blueberry Bushel, and a layer of Basic White.

I stamped the Old Olive & Daffodil Delight balloon on the layer along with the Pecan Pie basket. I stamped the Blueberry Bushel & Daffodil Delight Balloon on a scrap as well as the Poppy Parade & Daffodil Delight. A die cut basket is popped up under that basket. The clouds were die cut and then sponged on the edges with Blueberry Bushel. I finished the card with the sentiment stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (#132708).

Monday Mystery Stamping – 4/14/25

This card can be made with or without the layers. Maybe make one with all of the layers and then you can choose to do it differently for the next card. You can do a scenic DSP or a variety of patterns.  Probably not too large a pattern.

Vertical/Portrait card:
Clue #1… gather your supplies, All measurements in inches.

Base (A): white or color depending on your DSP choice
– 1 @ 4-1/4 X 11 – Score long side @ 5-1/2 (This piece can be optional if you use lots of layers or you want a lot of space to write. You can decide after you make the rest of the card.)
Colored Card Stock (B):
– 1 @ 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 (1st layer on base)
Colored Card Stock (C)
– 1 @ 5-1/8 x 5-1/4 (Score with 5-1/4 @ top @ 1-1/4, 2, 3-1/4, 4)- 1 @ 1-1/4 x 3 (Cross Bar OPTIONAL)
Colored Card Stock (D): These are layers:
– 3 @ 1 x 5
– 2 @ 5/8 x 5
– 1 @ 1-1/8 x 2-7/8 (Cross Bar OPTIONAL)
Designer Series Paper (DSP):
– 3 @ 7/8 x 4-7/8- 2 @ 1/2 x 4-7/8 – 1 @ 1 x 2-3/4 (Cross Bar OPTIONAL)

I hope you like this fun-fold card! Please join us if you like to make a card without knowing what it is until you are done!!

Stamping Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle-Retiring Products!

Welcome to our April Blog Waddle! We call ourselves ducklings, so we waddle from blog post to blog post, instead of hopping!! It’s always a sad, but happy time of the year for us Stampers! We say goodbye to some marvelous products we have loved using over the past year, but know they will be replaced with new and exciting products beginning next month! We are featuring those Last Chance List products this month! Here’s a preview of my card. Which products will you really miss?

The card base is Pebbled Path with a layer of Basic White embossed with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder (#162189), on the Last Chance List. Then I used the Country Birdhouse Dies (#163400), on the Last Chance List and a part of the Country Birdhouse Bundle ($163401) with the Country Woods DSP (#163393) to cut the pieces of the bird house. The Country Woods Suite Collection (#163418) is still available this week, but there is a low inventory.

Then I used Pool Party, Petal Pink, and Mossy Meadow scraps to die cut the roof trim, flowers, and leaves. The bird was colored with Stampin’ Write Markers to look like a robin, (#161695) and (#161696). Mr. Robin is popped up on a dimensional. The sentiment is from Sentimental Park (#160561) and stamped in Pebbled Path.

Monday Mystery Stamping – 3/24/25

Vertical/Portrait card:
Clue #1… gather your supplies, All measurements in inches.
A really pretty card suggested by Arlesia.

This card has the opportunity to use 3 different DSPs.  I would use something appropriate for the size of each mat. The largest piece of DSP will have a writing panel over much of it.

Cardstock Base A:
1 @ 5-1/2 x 8-1/4, NOTE: NOT 8-1/2 but 8-1/4, score at 1, 2, 3, 4 from one edge
1 @ 4-1/8 x 2-7/8
1 @ 4-7/8 x 3-5/8
DSP:  1 @ 5-1/4 tall x 4 wide
1 @ 3-7/8 x 2-5/8
1 @ 4-5/8 x 3-3/8
Basic White or Very Vanilla:
1 @ 4-1/4 x 3
Focal point: Die cut(s) and sentiments for 2 or 3 panels.

On the edge of the card base closest to the 1″ fold, lightly mark on the edge at 2-3/4 up from the bottom. Cut from that mark to the top of the 4″ score at the top of the card. Fold the base mountain, valley, mountain, valley. Adhere the smallest cardstock panel to the frontmost fold, lining up edges. Adhere the other card stock panel to the next mountain fold, making sure the panel is not obstructing the fold.

**NOTE: If you do not like measuring eighths of an inch, follow these measurements
1 @ 5-1/2 x 8-1/4, NOTE: NOT 8-1/2 but 8-1/4, score at 1, 2, 3, 4 from one edge
1 @ 4 x 2-3/4
1 @ 4-3/4 x 3-1/2
DSP:  1 @ 5-1/4 tall x 4 wide
1 @ 3-3/4 x 2-1/2
1 @ 4-1/2x 3-1/4
Basic White or Very Vanilla:
1 @ 4-1/4 x 3

This photo shows how the panels line up with these measurements. Before you adhere the 2 panels, slide them up to cover the 2 little triangles.

Adhere the panels, hiding the 2 triangles, open the card and trim off 1/8″ across the entire bottom of the card.

My cards aren’t quite completed, but here they are to give you a couple of ideas.

I hope you like this fun-fold card! Please join us if you like to make a card without knowing what it is until you are done!!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop January – April Mini Catalog!

Welcome to our March Paper Crafting Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world featuring products from the January – April Mini-Catalog! Here is a sneak peek of my card. Below my full card is a list of links to all of the participating bloggers.

I love the simplicity and versatility of the Bright Borders stamp set (#164753) and the To The Point Label punch (#164568) from the January-April Mini Catalog. My card base is Balmy Blue, with a 3 strips of Floral Delight DSP (#164700) measuring 1-1/8″ x 5″ layered on Old Olive strips (1-1/4 ” x 5-1/8″). This gorgeous DSP is a part of the Floral Delight Suite (#164716) and you have strips leftover if you already cut 6 pieces of DSP at 4″ x 5-1/4″ for other cards. Great way to use up scraps!

Next I stamped the Bright Border stamp in Old Olive on Basic White and colored in the flowers with Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Markers. The label is popped up on Dimensionals (#104430). A bow of Daffodil Delight 1/8″ Satin Ribbon (#164715) and a Tiny Bee Trinket (#164714) complete my card. ?demoid=84648
