Monday Mystery Stamping – 12/2/24

This is a card I learned about from Nancy Legate, a fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. She is so generous in sharing this with me!

BASE: Colored OR White/Vanilla Card Stock (CS)
– 1 @ 5 x 7, Score long side at 1-3/4 & 5-1/4. Score short side at 1-1/4 & 3-3/4 (or 1-3/4 from each end) (or 1-1/4 each end). SOLID lines are CUT. DASHED lines are SCORED. Make a tick mark on the bottom score line as shown @ 2-1/2.

Designer Series Paper (DSP): You need TWO different sets of each of the cuts below. My card uses two multi-directional papers.
– 1 @ 2-3/8 Wide x 5 Tall, tick at bottom @ 1-3/16; tick at both top sides @ 1-1/2. Cut as shown.
– 1 @ 4-1/2 Wide x 3-1/4 Tall, tick at bottom @ 2-1/4; tick at both top sides @ 1-1/16.
– 1 @ 4-1/2 Wide x 1-5/8 Tall, cut into 4 pieces each at 1-1/8 x 1-5/8.
– 1 @ 2-3/8 Wide x 1-5/8 Tall

When both sets of DSP are cut, adhere to each side like this:

To turn this into a tree, start by bringing the point up:

Fold the sides out:

Plus you can start with the other side and your tree will look like this:

I hope you like this fun-fold card!

Monday Mystery Stamping – 11/11/24

Vertical/Portrait card:
Clue #1… gather your supplies, All measurements in inches.
 Cardstock Base A:
1 @ 5-1/2 x 4-1/4
Cardstock Base B:
1 @ 3 x 6, score at 1/2 from 1 end, attach to one end of cardstock base A, putting the 1/2 flap at the very top
DSP:
1 @ 2-3/4 wide x 5-1/2 tall, adhere this to cardstock base B front
Basic White:
1 @ 3 x 5-1/2, open the flap and adhere on cardstock base A, lining up directly under cardstock base B
Focal point: Die cut(s) and sentiment for the front of the card, not too big, maybe 2-1/2 circle or square or flower, cupcake, etc. Something that compliments your DSP.

Thanks to Kim for finding and sending the idea for this card!!

Thank you!

This week I was recognized by Stampin’Up! for achieving a badge for Annual Sales in 2023-24! Thank you so very much for your amazing support of my stamping business. I am so very blessed to do what I love to do and share it with you!

Monday Mystery Stamping – 11/4/24

Vertical/Portrait card:
Clue #1… gather your supplies, All measurements in inches.
If you cut 2 pieces of 8-1/2 x 11 cardstock at the same time with these measurements, you will have the pieces to complete 2 cards. I have listed the pieces for only 1 card.
Cardstock Base:
1 @ 11 x 8-1/2, cut according to the below diagram resulting in:
Base 5-1/2 x 6-1/2, scored at 4-1/4 on the 6-1/2 side
Inside Layer 5-1/4 x 4
Layer for on white cardstock 4-3/4 x 3-1/2
Flap Layer (I embossed this piece) 2 x 5-1/4 on the front of the card

If cutting 2 pieces of cardstock together, you will have 4 pieces each for 2 cards.

Basic White or Very Vanilla:
1 @ 7-1/2 x 5, score at 3-3/4 on the long side
DSP:
1 @ 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 for the top of the white card base and layer
1@ 2 x 5-1/4 for the inside of the base card flap
Ribbons:
1 @ 20″ This goes under the DSP and colored layer onto of the white folded card. The ribbon wraps around behind the card base. You can make this card open either direction, just make that choice before adhering DSP inside the flap.

My card opens with the fold on the left. The DSP on the right is inside the card when closed.

Below, the front flap is showing on the righthand side. I embossed the layer.

Die cut(s) and sentiment for the center of the front of the card.

I hope you like this fun-fold card! Please join us if you like to make a card without knowing what it is until you are done!!

Monday Mystery Stamping – 10/14/24

Vertical/Portrait card:
Clue #1… gather your supplies, All measurements in inches.
Cardstock Base:
1 @ 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 2-1/8, 4-1/4, 6-3/8
1 @ 3 x 6, score at 3
Optional layer for behind your sentiment

This is the front of my card. Adhere 2 of the 6 panels to the front.

This shows the W-Fold. With the left and right panels of the inside of the card on the outside of the card folded flat, fold the 3 X 6 panel in half and adhere approximately in the middle of the panels.

DSP:
6 @ 1-7/8 x 5-1/4, 2 of 1 pattern, 4 of another or 2, 2, and 2 of 3 papers. Two go on the front, the other four inside.
Basic White: 2 @ 2 ¾” x 2 ¾”
1 @ whatever fits your sentiment
Optional Ribbon: 15” On my card, I tied it around the left panel on the front of my card.
Sentiment for the front of the card, possibly with a die cut or two. Die cuts or stamping for the left inside square.

When opened the panel sticks “out”.

When closed for mailing, the 3 X 6 panel is pushed to the inside.

I hope you like this W-fold card! Please join us if you like to make a card without knowing what it is until you are done!!

Stamping Buffets

What is a Stamping Buffet? It is an event in my basement Stamp Room (in Central, IL) for stampers to create as many cards as they would like to create in 3 hours. I post a “menu” of 12 cards, 6 new cards each session. You select the box associated with a card and take it to the work table. The supplies for each card are set inside the flap of the envelope. There are additional pieces of cardstock or DSP to die cut, stamp, color etc. in order to complete the card. All cardstock, DSP, ink, stamp sets, dies, ribbon and embellishments to make the card are provided, you bring your favorite adhesive, glue, glue dots, dimensionals, scissors, paper trimmer and anything else you like to use when making cards.

Each card + envelope is $4.00.The only limit is how many you can make in 3 hours.

There are 1 or 2 sessions each month. The cards offered for a session are the same. There are occasionally “leftovers” available, card kits that were not made during a session.

Seating is available for 4 people per session.  Please R.S.V.P. by Friday, before the week of buffets.

Any questions, please contact me!

Monday Mystery Stamping – 9/30/24

Vertical/Portrait card OR Horizontal/Landscape (makes 2 cards)
Clue #1… gather your supplies, All measurements in inches.
Cardstock Base: (colored or white)
– 2 @ 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score long side at 4-1/4
Optional cardstock layer:
– 2 @ 5-1/4 x 4
DSP:
– 2 @ 5 1/4 x 4 if NOT using the optional cardstock layer, cut in half both directions 2-5/8 by 2
-1 @ 5 x 3 3/4 if using the optional cardstock layer, cut in half both directions 2-1/2 x 1-7/8

Cutting the DSP:
if using directional paper, be sure to cut carefully. Line up the 2 pieces of DSP small rectangles, cut one pair from top left corner to bottom right. Line up the next 2 pieces and cut top right corner to bottom left corner. See the picture

If making the horizontal card, cut the small rectangles the same way, but with the rectangles wider than they are taller. I don’t want my airplanes to fly upside down! See below.

Then lay out the cut rectangles in a pinwheel design and adhere to either the card base or the card layer.

Decorate the card with a die cut or stamped image that coordinates with your DSP! Add a white panel inside for your message, if needed.

I hope you like this easy pinwheel card! Please join us if you like to make a card without knowing what it is until you are done!!
