What is a Stamping Buffet? It is an event in my basement Stamp Room (in Central, IL) for stampers to create as many cards as they would like to create in 3 hours. I post a “menu” of 12 cards, 6 new cards each session. You select the box associated with a card and take it to the work table. The supplies for each card are set inside the flap of the envelope. There are additional pieces of cardstock or DSP to die cut, stamp, color etc. in order to complete the card. All cardstock, DSP, ink, stamp sets, dies, ribbon and embellishments to make the card are provided, you bring your favorite adhesive, glue, glue dots, dimensionals, scissors, paper trimmer and anything else you like to use when making cards.

Each card + envelope is $4.00.The only limit is how many you can make in 3 hours.

There are 1 or 2 sessions each month. The cards offered for a session are the same. There are occasionally “leftovers” available, card kits that were not made during a session.

Seating is available for 4 people per session. Please R.S.V.P. by Friday, before the week of buffets.

Are you a casual stamper, in the style of the card on the left?
To create this lovely, heartfelt card, use a Stamparatus to line up the floral images from the Back to Back Blooms Stamp Set, then stamp them in Bumblebee and Mint Macaron ink on a Basic White Cardstock layer. (The stamping is overlapped onto the Mint Macaron Cardstock card base for some extra sophistication and prettiness!) Stamp the sentiment from the Heal Your Heart Stamp Set in Mint Macaron and Misty Moonlight ink on the Basic White Cardstock label. Finally, adhere the label to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Done! You have an elegant thank you card ready to send in no time at all!

Maybe you are an avid stamper, making cards like in the middle picture?
Step up the second card by adding a lacy edge to the Basic White layer using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. This additional step takes about a minute and instantly enhances the card’s beauty. Once that’s finished, adhere fussy-cut flowers from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper to the front of the card to create a gorgeous, full bouquet. A sprinkling of Opal Rounds completes the look. Tip: Use your Stamparatus to stamp the line art images first. Then, clean the stamp and position it to stamp the solid floral image. (Stamp off the solid image before stamping on the project.)

Or maybe you are an artfully avid stamper and enjoy creating cards like the one above on the right?
For the fanciest card, fussy cut the stamped images and adhere an additional layer of Designer Series Paper to the card front. Die cut the label using the Stitched Nested Label Dies and then—for a final touch—stamp the sentiment on Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. Isn’t it stunning? Sometimes the smallest details can make all the difference in your papercrafting!
