Monday Mystery Stamping – 12/11/23

Vertical gift bag, called the 2, 5, 7, 10 box. Take an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of card stock and you can stamp an all-over design now or after you score. As the name implies, score the card stock at 2″, 5″, 7″, and 10″ on the 11″ side. Rotate it 90 degrees and sore at 2″ and 7″. see the picture below for reference.

The dashed lines are score lines, the solid lines are cut lines. Cut off the 3 pieces with the x in them. Cut on the lines on the 1-1/2″ tall pieces at the bottom. Note where the front panel is located and the flap on the back side that will come to the front. If you have not stamped yet, stamp before assembling the box.

Add a strong double-sided tape as shown. Before adhering the box, at the top on the two 2″ sides, score from the top down about 1-1/2″ – 2″. This will help pinch the sides at the top. Punch two holes in the flap, pretty high up from the edge. If you like, round the corners of the flap or use decorative scissors on it. Close the flap, and mark the holes on the base through the holes in the flap. Cut about 15″ of ribbon to tie it together. Overlap the back and front bottom flaps over the two side flaps and use strong adhesive to seal.
