Monday Mystery Stamping – 4/10/23

Here are the cards we made tonight!

Vertical (Portrait) Card:
– Card stock base: 8½ x 5½
– Complimentary card stock: 4 x 5¼
DSP: 3-3/4 x 5
– Sentiment scrap, bling, ribbon

Mark 2″ down from the top and 2″ up from the bottom on the right-hand side of the DSP. Mark 1¼ down from the to and 1¼ up from the bottom on the left-hand side of the DSP. Cut the DSP by going from the top right 2″ mark up to the 1¼ mark from the top on the left-hand side. Then cut from the 2″ mark up from the bottom down to the 1¼” mark on the left-hand side.

If you want a little separation between your DSP pieces and you want an even border around the DSP, trim 1/8″ off of the 4″ width of the layer. Add a die cut or stamped image and sentiment. Finish your card with a sentiment, sparkle, and maybe ribbon.

Monday Mystery Stamping – 4/3/23

Here are the starburst/sunburst cards we made tonight!

Horizontal (Landscape) Card:
– Card stock base: 8½ x 5½
– Complimentary card stock: 3¼ x 5¼
– White or Vanilla: 3 x 5
DSP, should be an overall design with no direction to it
– 4 pieces (2 each of 2 designs): 1½ x 4¼
– One coordinating die cut or stamped image
– White or Vanilla 4 x 5¼

Cut the 4 rectangles from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. Mark the center of the 3×5 piece at the top and bottom on the 5″ side, at 2½”. Align the first piece of DSP along the line created by those 2 marks, with the point at the bottom and just barely over the edge of the piece. Add the rest of the DSP, alternating patterns. To complete the starburst, trim off all excess pieces around the card and use scraps to fill in the remainder of the rays. Add this to the complimentary layer, add it to the top of your card base. Add a die cut or stamped image and sentiment.
