Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Gift Packaging

Welcome to our December Paper Crafting Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the world! Each demonstrator is featuring projects for gifting!

You may have arrived here from Annette’s blog. She had a fabulous project! I chose the Snowflake Wishes Bundle (#155172) for my card. The card base is Night of Navy, a single 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ piece.

I am challenging myself to use up every piece of this beautiful Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (#153512)! Four more sheets to go, but I have several anniversaries and birthdays in January! The DSP is 4″ x 12″, scored at 1-1/4″, 5″ and 10-1/4″. The snowflakes are cut from Highland Heather, Night of Navy and Whisper White. The sentiment ends are punched using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch (#152883). Under the snowflakes is a piece of ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo (#152468).

Inside the card, the flap of DSP is adhered to hold a gift card. What do you think?

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – December Holidays!

Welcome to our November Paper Crafting Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the world! Each demonstrator is featuring projects for the December Holidays!

You may have arrived here from Annette’s blog. She had a fabulous project! I chose the Christmas Gleaming Variety Bundle (#156082) for my card.

I am challenging myself to use up every piece of this beautiful Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper (#150429)! Two more sheets to go!

I started my card on a Night of Navy card base with 3 more layers of cardstock and DSP. Between the card base and the Whisper White layer is a 1/2″ of the Night of Navy banner, created with the Triple Banner Punch (#138292). The next layer is a Copper Foil Sheet (#142020), followed by the DSP. Next, I used the Stitched Nested Labels Dies (#149638) to cut two layers for on the top of the banner and under the banner. The small ornament and sentiment is from Christmas Gleaming cling stamp set (#150464) stamped in Night of Navy. The larger ornament was punched with the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack (#152479) and then embossed with the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder (#150646). Tied a bit of Night of Navy ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack (#152468) and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Here are a couple of other card ideas using this stamp set!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Designer Series Paper!

Welcome to our October Paper Crafting Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the world! Each demonstrator is featuring projects using Designer Series Paper, DSP for short! There are two kinds of DSP Patterned and Speciality.

You may have arrived here from Tracy’s blog. She had a fabulous project! I chose the Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper (#153517) because I rarely use dark colors and I wanted to challenge myself. Do you challenge yourself?

I started my card on a Basic Black card base with a layer of DSP. I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (#151690) to cut two layers for the front of the card greeting. The sentiment is from Gorgeous Posies (#153289) and I used Calypso Coral ribbon from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack (#152479) to complete the front.

The Pretty Peacock paper from the Magic In This Night package makes a beautiful backdrop for the 4 panels. Each panel and layer was cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I accidentally used retired DSP (the leaves) for 2 of the panels and stamped the rose and leaves from Healing Hugs (#148223).

I finished the card with Happy Birthday from the Here’s A Hug (#149438). I created this card for my Monday Night Mystery Stamping group. They had the clues of what to cut before then and we met by Zoom to put the cards together. It is such a fun way to stay connected while staying apart.
