Stampin Stray Ducklings June – New Catalog Blog Waddle!

Welcome to our monthly Blog Waddle! This month is actually May, but it feels like June!! Our projects feature new annual catalog products! You may have arrived here from Lori Helvick’s blog.  Following me is Kim Baker’s blog.

I picked the Bottled Happiness stamp set (#158684) and the Vintage Bottle Punch (#158689), yes more flowers! You can save 10% when purchasing the Bottled Happiness Bundle (#158690). I started with a Basic White card base and added a layer of Starry Sky, a new 2022-2024 In-Color. Another Basic White layer for stamping the bottle and flowers. I did not stamp and punch the bottle, but I certainly could have done that.

The mostly foliage stamp was inked in Garden Green. The other stamp was colored with Stampin’ Write Markers in Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Shaded Spruce, and Polished Pink. A double bow of Baker’s Twine (#155475) was added at the neck of the bottle. The sentiment was from the Art Gallery photopolymer stamp set (#158201) on a tag punched with the Banners Pick a Punch (#153608).

I picked the colors, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride, Fresh Freesia, and Gorgeous Grape for the flowers and Granny Apple Green for the leaves. The dark flower centers are either Basic Black or Soft Suede. Fresh Freesia is a retiring In-Color. I picked the Heart Punch Pack (#151292) and the PatternParty Host Designer Series Paper (DSP) (#155426) which is for hostesses with a qualifying party. You can purchase the DSP with.a qualifying order, too. I started with a Real Red card base using a fun-fold. Three score lines on the base and it is ready for the DSP. If not using an overall patterned paper, be sure to watch the direction of your paper. The sentiment is from the Always in My Heart stamp set (#158153).

I picked a second DSP pattern to add to the inside of the card. Another heart and another sentiment from the Always in My Heart stamp set. Check out the Annual Catalog and the fantastic new Mini-Catalog to make your qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration!

Stampin Stray Ducklings December Blog Waddle!

Welcome to our monthly Blog Waddle! This month our projects feature products from the Annual Catalog. You may have arrived here from Lori Helvick’s blog.  Following me is Kim Baker’s blog.

I love to take a stamp set that is not featured as a Christmas stamp set and create a Christmas card with it. I decided to make this card a birthday card as I have several friends and family with January birthdays! The Beauty of Friendship photopolymer stamp set (#154983) which comes in the Beauty of Friendship Bundle (#155834) was my inspiration. I started with a Balmy Blue card base and added a layer of Basic White cut with a die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies (#151820) On the Basic White layer I stamped the two tree stamps in Evening Evergreen and Mint Macaron. The sentiment is from Pansy Patch (#154999) and stamped in Balmy Blue. The bow is Balmy Blue retired ribbon.

I also used the Inspiring Canopy Dies (#155963) as the main feature on another card. The card base and trees are Basic White. The blue patterned paper is from the Beauty of the Earth 12 x 12 DSP (Designer Series Paper) (#155841) and backed with a piece of Night of Navy. The cardinal came from the Beautiful Trees Dies (#155840). The sentiment from Christmas to Remember (#156300) is stamped in Night of Navy.

Be sure to look through the Annual catalog and find the stamp sets you may have missed your first 20 times looking through the catalog!

Stampin Stray Ducklings November Blog Waddle!

Welcome to our monthly Blog Waddle! This month we are featuring cards for December holidays. You may have arrived here from Lori Helvick’s blog.  Following me is Kim Baker’s blog.

I love to make Christmas cards, and I started them early this year. I chose the Poinsettia Dies (#153522)! I started with a Very Vanilla card base and added a layer of Gold Foil (#132622) with a smaller layer of Very Vanilla on top. Next I did lots of die cutting and embossing. The beauty of these particular dies is they emboss and cut with one pass through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine (#149653)! I used a light tack tape to hold the embossing die and the cutting die together as I ran the Red Velvet Paper (#153490) through.

I die cut the berry stem from the Gold Foil Paper and the holly leaves from Shaded Spruce. The sentiment is from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set (#158335) stamped in Shaded Spruce. A bow of retired Very Vanilla trimmed in gold ribbon.

Welcome to our monthly Blog Waddle! This month we are featuring Thank you or Thanksgiving projects. You may have arrived here from Lori Helvick’s blog.  Following me is Kim Baker’s blog. Which is your favorite?

I love to make Thanksgiving cards. It is important to me to tell people how very special they are to me and how thankful I am to have them in my life. I chose the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle (#156478)! It contains the Pretty Pumpkins cling stamp set (#156472) and the coordinating Detailed Pumpkins Dies (#156477). Purchasing the bundle saves you 10%!

I used a Cajun Craze card base with a layer of Bumblebee. Next are two pieces of Harvest Meadow 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (#156494). A piece of Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace (#149593) was tied around the BumbleBee and DSP layer). The large pumpkin was stamped in Crumb Cake and the trio of pumpkins in Soft Suede. Stampin Blends added some color and highlights to all of them. The largest pumpkin was die-cut from the copper sheet in the Brushed Metallic Cardstock (#153524) package. The message was stamped in Cajun Craze on Basic White.

The two flower clusters were stamped in Gray Granite on Basic White, die cut and then colored with Stampin’ Blends. I used a Layering Circle Die (#151770) to cut a piece of the Blackberry Beauty DSP (#156458).The sentiment from Pansy Patch (#154999) was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink and punched out with the Treasured Tags Pick a Punch (#154425). I was instantly attracted to the Nature’s Harvest Bundle (#156813)! It contains the Nature’s Harvest cling stamp set (#156495) and the coordinating Harvest Dies (#156504). Purchasing the bundle entitles you to a free item from the Sale-A-Bration flyer through the end of September!

I used an Early Espresso card base with a layer of Harvest Meadow 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (#156494). The tags were die cut in Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake with a die from the Tailor Made Tags Dies (#155563). The top tag was topped with a die cut piece in Very Vanilla and tied together with a bit of Linen Thread (#104199). I also cut the wild flowers in early Espresso and tucked them behind the tags.

The flowers are stamped in Early Espresso and then colored with Watercolor Pencils (#141709) and Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 (#149014). A touch of a Blender Pen (#102845) created the very soft look. Then the flowers were die cut. The sentiment from Pansy Patch (#154999) was stamped in Cajun Craze on Very Vanilla. A gold bumblebee from the Bumblebee Trinkets (#155568) is the final touch for my card. What do you think?
