Stampin Stray Ducklings – Embossing Folders!

Welcome to our September Blog Waddle! We are featuring projects using embossing folders!! You may have arrived here from Lori Helvick’s blog.  Following me is Nancy Legate’s blog.

I picked the Lighthouse Point Bundle (#158907) to feature because I love lighthouses. They are America’s castles. The card base is Pacific Point with a layer of Balmy Blue which was embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder (#156505). Then I embossed three 1″ strips of Basic White in the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder (#154317) and the Fern 3D Embossing Folder (#158804). After cutting the lighthouse with the die from the Lighthouse Dies (#158906) and then embossed it with the Brick and Mortar 3D Embossing Folder (#149643). I chose to use the de-bossed side for the front for texture and interest.

The top of the lighthouse was die cut in Smoky Slate and the railing in Basic Black. The sentiment was stamped in Pacific Point from the Lighthouse Point Photopolymer Stamp Set (#158901) and then die cut. Both the lighthouse and the sentment and lifted with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

There are so many wonderful Embossing Folders to give texture to your cards!

Stampin Stray Ducklings – Die Cuts!

Welcome to our August Blog Waddle! We are featuring projects with die cuts!! You may have arrived here from Lori Helvick’s blog.  Following me is Nancy Legate’s blog.

I picked the Summer Shadow Dies (#156618) to feature because of the lovely flower shapes. I love the new In-Colors Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis so I used those for my flower colors. I paired Shaded Spruce and Mint Macaron for the leaves! A polka-dot In-Color piece of Orchid Oasis DSP backs the flowers on a Basic White panel cut with the largest die from the Scalloped Contours Dies (#155560). The card base is Starry Sky. The sentiment from Go To Greetings (#158763) is stamped in Starry Sky.

I hold stamping buffets each month and this card is one of 12 you can make in August. Contact me to attend!

Here is another card featuring die cuts. It was created with the Fond of Autumn Bundle (#159838) from the July-December 2022 Mini-Catalog. I love the die cut in the card base under the popped up die cut.

I picked the Brewed For You stamp set (#159087) and the Brewed Dies (#159092) for my beer loving husband, brother, nephew!!! You can save 10% when purchasing the Brewed For You Bundle (#159093). I started with a BasicBlack card base and added a layer of Crumb Cake stamped randomly with beer glasses in Basic Black.

The beer glasses were stamped in Basic Black on Basic White and the beer was stamped in Crushed Curry. Not being a beer drinker, I thought that was close! The foam and glasses were die cut and adhered to the front. The sentiment was from Artistically Inked stamp set (#154542).

I did not stamp and punch the bottle, but I certainly could have done that.

The mostly foliage stamp was inked in Garden Green. The other stamp was colored with Stampin’ Write Markers in Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Shaded Spruce, and Polished Pink. A double bow of Baker’s Twine (#155475) was added at the neck of the bottle. Stampin Stray Ducklings December Blog Waddle!

Welcome to our monthly Blog Waddle! This month our projects feature products from the Annual Catalog. You may have arrived here from Lori Helvick’s blog.  Following me is Kim Baker’s blog.

I love to take a stamp set that is not featured as a Christmas stamp set and create a Christmas card with it. I decided to make this card a birthday card as I have several friends and family with January birthdays! The Beauty of Friendship photopolymer stamp set (#154983) which comes in the Beauty of Friendship Bundle (#155834) was my inspiration. I started with a Balmy Blue card base and added a layer of Basic White cut with a die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies (#151820) On the Basic White layer I stamped the two tree stamps in Evening Evergreen and Mint Macaron. The sentiment is from Pansy Patch (#154999) and stamped in Balmy Blue. The bow is Balmy Blue retired ribbon.

I also used the Inspiring Canopy Dies (#155963) as the main feature on another card. The card base and trees are Basic White. The blue patterned paper is from the Beauty of the Earth 12 x 12 DSP (Designer Series Paper) (#155841) and backed with a piece of Night of Navy. The cardinal came from the Beautiful Trees Dies (#155840). The sentiment from Christmas to Remember (#156300) is stamped in Night of Navy.

Be sure to look through the Annual catalog and find the stamp sets you may have missed your first 20 times looking through the catalog!
