Stampin Stray Ducklings March Blog Waddle

Welcome to our monthly Blog Waddle! This month we are featuring projects for Easter or Spring. I decided to make a bright, Spring birthday card. You may have arrived here from Nancy Legate’s blog.  Following me is Kim Baker’s blog. Let us know what you think of these fantastic cards!

I started my card using a Magenta Madness base. I took a piece of Basic White and cut it into 3 pieces, just under 1-3/4″ each. Then I pulled out several bright inks and began to play with the In Bloom photopolymer stamp set (#154380)!!! The colors are:
Gorgeous Grape
Magenta Madness
Daffodil Delight
Coastal Cabana
Poppy Parade
Granny Apple Green
Memento Black

And I just had to carry those beautiful blooms into the inside of my card!

Stampin Stray Ducklings February Blog Waddle

Welcome to our monthly Blog Waddle! This month we are featuring projects using a Valentines, love, wedding, anniversary, etc. theme. You may have arrived here from Nancy Legate’s blog.  Following me is Kim Baker’s blog. Let us know what you think of these fantastic cards!

I have a family wedding this summer, whether we can all attend remains to be seen, but the couple deserves a beautiful card to celebrate their marriage.

I created my card using a Basic White base with a layer of Basic White embossed with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder (#151474). The next layer was die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (#151690). I have been intrigued by cluster embellishments and I created one for the bottom left-hand corner using dies from the Sunflower Dies (#152704), Flourishing Forever Dies (#152714), and the Butterfly Beauty Dies (#151819). The flowers were punched from Vellum Cardstock (#101856) with the Small Bloom Punch (#!52316). The center of the flowers have Opal Rounds (#154289) in them. The card was completed with the Whisper White 5/8″ Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon (#!46912).

Snowflakes!

Snow Many Ways with Snowflakes
Nature has many ways of showing off her genius, and one of the most notable examples is found in the delicate patterns of snowflakes. Our concept artist decided to highlight the whimsical beauty of these fabulous ice crystals using the So Many Snowflakes Dies (item 153560), a variety of embossing folders, and subtle, pastel color combinations to create truly breathtaking cards—which can be easily adapted to suit any winter occasion.
To make the watercolor snowflake accents featured on the Happy Hanukkah and Snowflake Wishes cards, we simply applied Blushing Bride and Misty Moonlight ink to the die-cut snowflakes using Sponge Daubers (# 133773)—replicating the soft hues of a wintry, twilight sky. Our artist enhanced the texture and beauty of these cards using the Winter Snow (#153577) and Evergreen Forest 3D (#153576) Embossing Folders, respectively.
To create our Thank You Snow Much gift bag, we embossed Brushed Metallic Cardstock (#153524) using the Woodland Embossing Folder (# 152881) and added peek-through snowflake die-cut pieces for extra charm. Who wouldn’t love to receive this darling gift bag, tied with a 1-1/2″ (3.8 cm) Metallic Mesh Ribbon (#153550)? This project would also make the perfect host or booking gift!
How many ways can you showcase the beauty of snowflakes with your cards and 3D projects?

Our Stampin’ Cut & Emboss and Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machines offer multiple die-cutting and embossing options for you, from beginners to seasoned crafters. Both of our Stampin’ Up!-exclusive machines offer the highest quality and make precise cuts and detailed embossed images every time. They’re also simple to store and easily portable, which makes packing for your events a cinch! They come with all the tools needed to get started right away, making it easy for you to have a fantastic die-cutting and embossing experience from the start.

SO MUCH TO LOVE

So what sets our machines apart from the rest? Here are some of my favorite features:

Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine
This machine has a wide 6″ (15.2 cm) platform that works with all Stampin’ Up! dies and embossing folders. Includes 1 Base Plate (Plate 1), 1 Die Plate (Plate 2), 2 Cutting Plates (Plate 3), and 1 Specialty Plate (Plate 4).

  • Durable machines with high-quality results. The solid steel construction frame and rubber feet that securely grip the work surface produce crisp, clean, precise cutting and beautifully detailed embossing.
  • Easy to use. The machines and tools are designed for an intuitive die-cutting and embossing experience. For example, all plates are labelled with a number and are colour-coded for easy reference and use when building your sandwich. And just like the name suggests, our Magnetic Cutting Plates have fully-magnetic surfaces to make it easy to securely position your dies and keep them in place.
  • Simple to store. The platforms on both machines fold for space-saving storage and they look pretty too–the sleek, clean design suits any crafting space.
  • Portable. You can use both machines at home or on the go with their folding platforms and ergonomic carrying handles. It’s so convenient to take along to crops or other crafting get-togethers.

Magnetic Cutting Plate

Thin, fully magnetic sheet with self-healing cutting surface. Magnetic Cutting Plate (Plate 5) holds dies securely in place, even nested dies.

New 3D Embossing Folders

The New-Style 3D Embossing Folders are Now Available Again!
When we changed our manufacturer for our dies/folders it meant catching up on the designs from last year’s catalog.  These are now back in stock and orderable:

BASKET WEAVE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER (item 151797)
LACE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER (item 151815)
SEASONAL WREATH 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER (item 151796)
SUBTLE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER (item 151775)
TIN TILE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER (item 151801)
COUNTRY FLORAL 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER (item 151823)

just a reminder -If you have purchased any of the 3D folders since June from the new catalog, you will need a blue plate for them to emboss well in your Big Shot. These are slightly thinner and will need the new plate to get a good impression.
Just use it in place of your clear cutting plate!
(the thicker 3D folders only use one cutting plate, not 2)
