Halloween is very special for us, our youngest granddaughter was born on Halloween. She was two this year. I thought this card turned out really cute! No scary cards for her!

So happy you are hopping through our November Paper Crafting Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world featuring cards for the December holidays! Below my card is a list of links to all of the participating bloggers.
My card features the Peaceful Evergreens cling stamp set (#164153), a part of the Peaceful Season Bundle (#164021) which also includes the Peaceful Evergreen Dies (#164024). Here’s a sneak peek of my card.

My card base is Mossy Meadow, with a layer of Pecan Pie. Next, I cut a layer of the Country Woods DSP (#163393) just an 1/8″ narrower than the Pecan Pie layer. Before adhering it to the Pecan Pie layer, I stamped the 3 trees in Mossy Meadow at varying heights. The words Merry and Christmas from the Greetings of the Season photopolymer stamp set (#164325) were stamped in Versamark Clear Ink (#102283) and heat embossed with Gold from the Metallics WOW! Embossing Powder (#165678). A bow of Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/4″ Satin Ribbon (#164028) across the bottom of the card and 2 Gold Blooming Pearls (#162238) complete the finishing touches!

Thanks for hopping with us this month. Next go to –> Maureen’s blog to see what she has created.

Welcome to our November Blog Waddle! We call ourselves ducklings, so we waddle from blog post to blog post, instead of hop!! We are featuring Christmas cards this month!
Here is a sneak peek of my card. Look very closely, you will see the Wink of Stella I added to the trees!

I love the Painted Tress 3D Embossing Folder from the Sept-Dec Mini-Catalog! I knew I wanted to use Basic Beige and either Mossy Meadow or Old Olive. Here are some samples I made before I made my final choice.

The card base is Mossy Meadow, 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. Next is a layer of Basic Beige embossed with the folder. Then I used a sponge dauber to add Basic Beige to each of the trees. I used the Basic Beige on all 3 samples. It has a greenish cast on the Basic Beige, perfect for an evergreen tree!

I added some Basic Beige 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon (#163788) a tag stamped in Mossy Meadow and Basic Beige on Basic Beige using the Greetings of the Season stamp set from the Greetings of the Season Bundle (#164113), also from the Mini. A little Wink of Stella (#141897) added some sparkle to the trees, and 3 Clear Ribboned Adhesives-Backed Dots (#164204). I hope this inspires you when you make your Holiday cards this year!

Vertical/Portrait card:
Clue #1… gather your supplies, All measurements in inches.
If you cut 2 pieces of 8-1/2 x 11 cardstock at the same time with these measurements, you will have the pieces to complete 2 cards. I have listed the pieces for only 1 card.
Cardstock Base:
1 @ 11 x 8-1/2, cut according to the below diagram resulting in:
Base 5-1/2 x 6-1/2, scored at 4-1/4 on the 6-1/2 side
Inside Layer 5-1/4 x 4
Layer for on white cardstock 4-3/4 x 3-1/2
Flap Layer (I embossed this piece) 2 x 5-1/4 on the front of the card

If cutting 2 pieces of cardstock together, you will have 4 pieces each for 2 cards.

Basic White or Very Vanilla:
1 @ 7-1/2 x 5, score at 3-3/4 on the long side
DSP:
1 @ 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 for the top of the white card base and layer
1@ 2 x 5-1/4 for the inside of the base card flap
Ribbons:
1 @ 20″ This goes under the DSP and colored layer onto of the white folded card. The ribbon wraps around behind the card base. You can make this card open either direction, just make that choice before adhering DSP inside the flap.

My card opens with the fold on the left. The DSP on the right is inside the card when closed.
Below, the front flap is showing on the righthand side. I embossed the layer.

Die cut(s) and sentiment for the center of the front of the card.

I hope you like this fun-fold card! Please join us if you like to make a card without knowing what it is until you are done!!
Check out Otterly Adorable!
