Stamping Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle-A sketch used for a Halloween card!

Welcome to our September Blog Waddle! We call ourselves ducklings, so we waddle instead of hop!! We are featuring a sketch from page. 22 of the Annual Catalog to create a Fall-themed or Halloween card.

Here is a sneak peek of my card.

I used the sketch in the top right corner of these sketches:

I began with a Basic Black base, 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2. I used 3 different pieces from the Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP (#163775), each 1″ wide. I stamped the cauldron from the Potions & Spells Bundle (#164357) in Basic Gray on Basic Gray cardstock. The bubbles were stamped in Lemon Lime Twist on Lemon Lime Twist and fussy cut them out. The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink on Gorgeous Grape and heat embossed in white. I wrapped white baker’s twine around the cardstock base 3 times and tied a bow. A little wink of stella (#141897) add some sparkle to the bubbles and handle, to complete my card. It looks better in person!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – For the Guys!

So happy you are hopping through our August Paper Crafting Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world featuring special cards for the guys in our lives! Below my card is a list of links to all of the participating bloggers. Here’s a little preview of my card:

My card features the Take to the Sky Suite (#163832) which includes the Adventurous Sky Bundle (#163447) and the Take to the Sky DSP (#163436). This DSP and others are 15% off through the end of August while supplies last.

My card base is Copper Clay, with a layer of Basic White and then a layer of Take to the Sky DSP. Next, I cut 6 “postage stamps” in Basic White using the Perennial Postage Dies (#162607) and then 6 contiguous pieces of Take to the Sky DSP, each about 1-1/8″ square. I lined up the postage stamps touching, with one detached to be used for this special airmail card I stamped the sentiment in Copper Clay and then embossed it with another die from the Adventurous Sky Dies (#163446).
