Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Thinking of You!

Welcome to our April Paper Crafting Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe! Our theme this month is Thinking of You, for the women in your life. You may have arrived from Tracy Held’s blog. She has a fabulous project! I chose the Inspiring Iris photopolymer stamp set (#149268) from the new Mini-Catalog

The card base is Highland Heather with a layer of Whisper White inside. The top layer is cut at 1 1/2″ from the center fold. The bottom piece is 1 1/2″ wide. Each of these sections is layered with a 1 1/4″ piece of Whisper White and then a 1″ piece of Subtles 6×6 DSP Highland Heather (#149615). The Highland Heather layer and the Whisper White layer for the irises are diecut with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies (#149638).

The irises were stamped with my Stamparatus and Stampin’ Write Markers. I placed the stamps on 3 sides of the plates and inked the stamps as much as needed to achieve the color I wanted on the flowers.

Stampin Stray Ducklings' April Blog Waddle

Welcome to the April Stampin Stray Ducklings’ Blog Waddle! This month we are featuring cards for Mother’s Day or Spring! You may have arrived here from Nancy Legate’s blog.  Following me is Kim Baker’s blog. Let us know what you think of our projects!

I created my card using the Ornate Style cling stamp set (#152572). The card base is Whisper White with a layer of Whisper White embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder (#152725). I love the detail with the 3D Embossing Folder!

These beautiful products are a part of the Ornate Garden Suite Collection (#154153), an early release from the upcoming new Annual Catalog. All of the products available now are shown here! There are two bundles available separately or in the suite, at savings of 10%.

The next layer is Blueberry Bushel and is diecut with the Ornate Layers Dies (#152726).

I stamped the flowers from the Ornate Style cling stamp set (#152572) in Versamark and used White Embossing Powder (#109132) and heat set it. Then I used Stampin’ Write Markers to color the leaves and flowers. The Happy Mother’s Day sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings cling-mount stamp set (#151331). I punched it out with the Classic Label Punch (#141491).
