Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Designer Series Paper!

Welcome to our October Paper Crafting Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the world! Each demonstrator is featuring projects using Designer Series Paper, DSP for short! There are two kinds of DSP Patterned and Speciality.

You may have arrived here from Tracy’s blog. She had a fabulous project! I chose the Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper (#153517) because I rarely use dark colors and I wanted to challenge myself. Do you challenge yourself?

I started my card on a Basic Black card base with a layer of DSP. I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (#151690) to cut two layers for the front of the card greeting. The sentiment is from Gorgeous Posies (#153289) and I used Calypso Coral ribbon from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack (#152479) to complete the front.

The Pretty Peacock paper from the Magic In This Night package makes a beautiful backdrop for the 4 panels. Each panel and layer was cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I accidentally used retired DSP (the leaves) for 2 of the panels and stamped the rose and leaves from Healing Hugs (#148223).

I finished the card with Happy Birthday from the Here’s A Hug (#149438). I created this card for my Monday Night Mystery Stamping group. They had the clues of what to cut before then and we met by Zoom to put the cards together. It is such a fun way to stay connected while staying apart.

Stampin Stray Ducklings October Blog Waddle

Welcome to our monthly Blog Waddle! This month we are featuring projects using a Suite in the August-December 2020 Mini-Catalog. You may have arrived here from Nancy Legate’s blog.  Following me is Kim Baker’s blog. Let us know what you think of these fantastic cards!

I choose the Snowflake Splendor Suite (#155115) on pages 36-38 of the Mini-Catalog.

I created my card using a Whisper White card base and a Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper (#153513) layer on it. Then I punched snow flakes using the So Many Snowflakes Dies (#153560) in a layer of Whisper White, cut to 5″ x 3 3/4″.

I stamped the sentiment in Balmy Blue and a few of the smallest snowflakes from the Snowflake Wishes (#153444) photopolymer stamp set. Then I added 3 Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems (#153547). Before attaching the top layer, I die-cut a snowflake out of the glitter paper and then adhered it on the top.

An easy card to make now for Christmas or to send after Christmas as a thank you note. Here are a few more ideas for using the products in this suite!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Punches!

Welcome to our September Paper Crafting Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the world! Each demonstrator is featuring a project using punches!

You may have arrived here from Tracy’s blog. She had a fabulous project! I chose the Beautiful Autumn Bundle (#155189) because it has the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set (#153450) and the Autumn Punch Pack (#153609).

I started my card on a Cajun Craze card base with a layer of crumb cake under a layer of gorgeous paper from the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP (#153520).

I cut a circle in the DSP with the Layering Circle Dies (#151770) and inserted a piece of Very Vanilla cut with the same die. The Very Vanilla is popped up on dimensionals and then surrounded with leaves and acorns stamped in Cajun Craze, Mint Macaron, and Crumb Cake. The sentiment is stamped in Mint Macaroon, too.

I finished off the card with two pieces of ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (#153553). They are Copper and Mint Macaron.
