Stampin Stray Ducklings' May Blog Waddle

Welcome to the May Stampin Stray Ducklings’ Blog Waddle! This month we are featuring cards Fathers Day/Masculine cards. You may have arrived here from Nancy Legate’s blog.  Following me is Kim Baker’s blog. Let us know what you think of our projects!

I created my card using the Sailing Home cling stamp set (#149457). The card base is Night of Navy, scored 2 1/8″ in from each end to make the gate-fold. Each front flap has a layer of Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper (#149481) cut to 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″. On the front is a piece of Crumb Cake with a layer of Very Vanilla. The panel is stamped in Night of Navy and Crumb Cake using images from Sailing Home. I stamped the sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays cling stamp set (#148618) in Night of Navy.

Inside the card, I added DSP (Designer Series Paper) panels on the inside of the “gate” panels. The center panel is Very Vanilla cut at 4″ and 5 1/4″, also stamped with images from Sailing Home. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays. If you love nautical things, check out these products, some on clearance.

The next layer is Blueberry Bushel and is diecut with the Ornate Layers Dies (#152726).

I stamped the flowers from the Ornate Style cling stamp set (#152572) in Versamark and used White Embossing Powder (#109132) and heat set it. Then I used Stampin’ Write Markers to color the leaves and flowers. The Happy Mother’s Day sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings cling-mount stamp set (#151331).
