Stamping Stray Ducklings April Blog Waddle!

Welcome to our April Blog Waddle! We call ourselves ducklings, so we waddle instead of hop!! We are featuring projects created from the retiring 2022-2024 In Colors.

I began with an Orchid Oasis base, scored at 4-1/4″ and 2-1/2″. The DSP is cut at 1-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ and 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″. I added a layer of Basic White 5-11/4″ x 4″ inside. I used the Perennial Lavender DSP (#162593) and the Two Tone Flora stamp set and dies (#159181). The leaves from Painted Lavender (#162594) were stamped in Shaded Spruce and stamped off, too. I stamped Happy Birthday from Pansy Patch in Orchid Oasis on a piece of Basic White. I completed my quick card with a piece of White Baker’s Twine (#155475).

You need a die or largish punch.  I am using the next to the largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  The outside dimension of that circle is 2-3/4″.  You can use a square and probably a rectangle.

Die cut through the front panel, after both pieces of DSP are adhered, centering your die on the score line. Center your embellishment in the die cut opening, adhered on the inside of your card.

Other Supplies:
–   Your primary embellishment needs to fit inside the inside of your shape, mostly.-   SCORER, CUTTER, embellishments, punched/die cuts, adhesives, stamps, inks, etc.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Thinking of you/Sympathy Cards!

So happy you are checking out our March Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world! Each demonstrator has created projects with a thinking of you or sympathy theme! Below my card is a list of links to all of the participating bloggers. Here’s a little preview of my card:

My card features the Painted Lavender stamp set (#162594)! The Painted Lavender stamp set also comes in a Bundle (#162597). The card base is Gorgeous Grape with two pieces of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (#162593) layered on it. The bunch of lavender is stamped in Gorgeous Grape and Shaded Spruce on a piece of Basic White. The butterflies are stamped in Highland Heather and a bow from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack (#155475) completes this part which is layered on a piece of Gorgeous Grape. Then I used the Double Oval Punch (#154242) to create the sentiment and layer pieces. The words are from the Go To Greetings stamp set (#158763).

Stamping Stray Ducklings January-April Blog Waddle!

Welcome to our March Blog Waddle! We call ourselves ducklings, so we waddle instead of hop!! We are featuring projects created from the January-April Mini-Catalog. It isn’t very “mini” as there are lots of goodies in there! Here is a close up of the details of my card.

I began with a Bubble Bath base and a layer of about 5 x 3-3/4. Behind the top layer is a very narrow layer of Berry Burst. I used the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder (#162935) on the smaller layer of Bubble Bath. Isn’t that a stunning embossing folder? Using scraps of Basic White and Berry Burst I die cute them with the 2 smallest dies in the Thoughtful Expressions Dies (#162821). I stamped Thank You from Something Fancy (#160416) in Berry Burst on the Basic White piece. I completed my quick card with a piece of pink ribbon from the 3/8″ (1 cm) Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack (#161635). Here is my completed card!
