Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Flowers!

So happy you are checking out our July Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world! Each demonstrator has created projects featuring flowers! Below my card is a list of links to all of the participating bloggers.

My card features the Cheerful Daisies Dies (#161296)! I love the detail of the flowers in this set! The card base is Lost Lagoon, one of the returning colors. Behind the piece of Hello, Irresistible 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (#161289) is a piece of Vellum Cardstock (#101856) embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder (#156505). The daisies are cut from Basic White. The daisy centers are sponged with Daffodil Delight and the leaves are packed with pieces of Pretty Peacock. A bow from Lost Lagoon 1/4″ Bordered Ribbon (#161171) and dots from 2023-2025 InColor Dots (#161620) with the Happy Birthday sentiment from Sentimental Park (#160561) complete my card.

This card is another Tri-fold card, similar to the one we made last Monday on Mystery Stamping! The difference is this base is 10-1/2″ and the height is 5-1/2″. Score long side @ 1-3/4, 3-1/2, 7, and 8-3/4. Then cut at 1-1/2″ in from each side between the 1-3/4″ and 8-3/4 score lines.

Designer Series Papers (DSP):  (*the more patterns, the prettier the card! And the smaller your stash!)
– 2 @ 1-1/2 wide x 5-1/4 tall
– 2 @ 1-1/2 wide x 1-1/4 tall
– 2 @ 3-1/4 wide x 1-1/4 tall
– 2 @ 1-1/2 wide x 1-1/4 tall
– 2 @ 1-1/2 wide x 2-1/4 tall

White/Vanilla:
– 1 @3-1/4 wide x 2-1/4 tall sentiment goes on this panel.  It can be layered.

Monday Mystery Stamping – 7/10/23

This was a card requested by one of our Mystery Stampers! It is a Floating Center Hinged card. Here is a diagram for the cutting, scoring and the DSP layers. Be certain you cut your base at only 8″ wide!

Designer Series Papers (DSP):  (*use at least 2 different patterns)
– 2 @ 1-3/4 wide x 5-1/4 tall
– 4 @ 1-3/4 wide x 1 tall- 2 @ 3/4 wide x 2-3/4 tall
– 1 @ 1-3/4 wide x 2-3/4 tall

White/Vanilla:
– 2 @ 1-3/4 wide x 5-1/4

Stamping Stray Ducklings – Sketch!

Welcome to our July Blog Waddle! We are featuring how to use a sketch for your cards!!

I picked a sketch from Pagemaps, a fantastic resource for card and scrapbook sketches! I just got the Little Monkey stamp set (#161372) this week and decided it will work very well with the sketch I chose. Becky@pagemaps was so kind to give me the measurements of the layers. Then I figured out if I made the image 4.25″ wide, I can use my. clear ruler and figure out the measurements myself!!

Here’s the sketch:

My card base is Basic White with a layer of Fresh As A Daisy DSP (#161289). This sketch really begs for several DSP patterns, so I also used pieces from Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ DSP (#161449) and Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP (#161643).

I used scraps of Pretty Peacock and Granny Apple Green for the tag topper, and the horizontal pieces. The tag is a little shorter than a tag in the Tailor Made Tags Dies (#155563), so after cutting the full tag, I moved the bottom of the die up to the correct length and then cut just the bottom of the tag. The tag top is tied with twine from Baker’s Twine Essential Pack (#155475). The bananas are stamped in Daffodil Delight and colored with Blends.
