Welcome to our June Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop with Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world! Each demonstrator has created projects for birthdays! Below my card is a list of links to all of the participating bloggers.
My card features the Dainty Delight cling stamp set (#161078)! I love the delicate and detailed flowers in this set! The card base is Highland Heather with a layer of Basic Black. First I used Pool Party on a Blending Brush (#153611)on the Basic White layer. Next I stamped the flower image in Gray Granite. Then I colored each leaf, stem and flower with a variety of Stampin’ Write Markers. I completed my card with a bow of Black & White Gingham ribbon (#156485), some Brushed Brass Butterflies (#158136), and the sentiment from Pansy Patch (#154999).

Thanks for hopping with us each month. Now click here –> Terri Stewart’s blog to see what fun project she has created.

This was a challenging card with a wow when it is opened! These Mystery Stampers did a lot of work ahead of meeting to be able to get the card done in 30 minutes! Well done ladies!!!!

If you would like to join us, please contact me and provide an email address. I will send out the Mystery Stamping Clues ahead of time with the Zoom invitation. We meet at 7:30 Central Time for about 40 minutes.

Here are the Miura-fold cards we made tonight!
Vertical (Portrait) Card:
– Card stock base, Whisper White: 5-1/2 x 10-1/2*, score at 3 1⁄2 and 7, then score as follows. Measure 2” down from the top on the left score line and 2” up from the bottom on the right score line. Score from the corners to the mark, and from the mark to the next score line on both sides. See picture.

– DSP 2 pieces: 5-1/4 x 3-1/4
– DSP 2 pieces (needs to be a non-directional pattern): 1-3/4 x 3-1/4
– White or Vanilla: 5-1/4 x 3-1/4
Cut your large DSP pieces carefully, as the image on the left below shows. Watch the DSP pattern for the right-hand piece. Cut the 2 small DSP pieces as shown below in the middle. Be sure your cuts are opposite! Finally, if your card base is not white or vanilla, cut the insert piece as shown on the right.

Welcome to our June Blog Waddle! We are featuring Techniques!!
I picked the Two-Tone Flora stamp set (#160844) for my card. The card base is Melon Mambo and I created an alternate card base in Granny Apple Green. Which one do you like best?
My technique is the Faux Tile technique. Using your scoring blade on your trimmer, score a grid of lines; mine are 1″ apart on a 4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White. I used the small end on my stylus for one card and the larger end on the other card. My last picture shows the differences in size.
I found I needed to stamp with very little pressure to not fill in the grid lines for the tiles. I stamped the flowers in Melon Mambo, Highland Heater, Calypso Coral, and Daffodil Delight. The flowers were stamped off and the detail stamp was fully inked.d The leaves are stamped in Granny Apple Green. The sentiment is from Cheerful Daisies (#161290).
