As we bid farewell to 2024 and usher in 2025, we find ourselves surrounded by the memories we’ve crafted together in 2024. As a reader, a stamper, or a scrapbooker, we’ve shared a fantastic journey.
As we begin a new year, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering passion and creativity. Your dedication to preserving moments, telling stories, creating handmade cards, creating handmade gifts, and turning ordinary into extraordinary has been what keeps me going. I love how you share your creations with me! Know that you mean the world to me!
Here’s to another year of stamping, crafting, creating, scrapbooking and cherishing the moments that make life extraordinary.
Welcome to our December Blog Waddle! We call ourselves ducklings, so we waddle from blog post to blog post, instead of hop!! We are featuring ways to gift a gift card for the holidays! You can substitute birthday, Valentines, Easter, Graduation, and any other occasion products to give gift cards all year long. Here is a sneak peek of my card.
Next is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of the Season of Green & Gold SDSP. The other piece of cardstock base is 4-1/4″ x 9″, scored at 3″ and 6″. Fold it in a z-fold. On the front panel, I used a piece of Season of Green & Gold SDSP cut to 2-3/4″ x 4″. And the top layer is Basic White 2-1/2″ x 3-3/4″. Stamp boughs and branches from the Golden Greenery stamp set (#164331) in Garden Green and Old Olive on scraps of Basic White. Then die cut the pieces with the Golden Greenery Dies (#164116). These are available as a Bundle (#164117) for a 10% savings!
Cut a piece of SDSP 3″ tall x 2-7/8″ wide to form the gift card pocket on the next panel. Adhere it with tear n tape around the sides and bottom, being sure to leave room for the gift card. I stamped another bough on the final Basic White panel, 4″ x 2-3/4″. Both sentiments are from the Greetings of the Season stamp set (#164325), stamped in Garden Green.
You can add a ribbon or a belly band to hold the card closed, if you prefer. Here is a birthday card gift holder I made.

The card base is Mossy Meadow, 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. Next is a layer of Basic Beige embossed with the folder. Then I used a sponge dauber to add Basic Beige to each of the trees. I used the Basic Beige on all 3 samples. It has a greenish cast on the Basic Beige, perfect for an evergreen tree!

Welcome to our September Blog Waddle! We call ourselves ducklings, so we waddle instead of hop!! We are featuring a sketch from page. 22 of the Annual Catalog to create a Fall-themed or Halloween card. Here is a sneak peek of my card.
I used the sketch in the top right corner of these sketches:
I began with a Basic Black base, 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2. I used 3 different pieces from the Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP (#163775), each 1″ wide. I stamped the cauldron from the Potions & Spells Bundle (#164357) in Basic Gray on Basic Gray cardstock. The bubbles were stamped in Lemon Lime Twist on Lemon Lime Twist and fussy cut them out. The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink on Gorgeous Grape and heat embossed in white. I wrapped white baker’s twine around the cardstock base 3 times and tied a bow. A little wink of stella (#141897) add some sparkle to the bubbles and handle, to complete my card. It looks better in person!

Welcome to our August Blog Waddle! We call ourselves ducklings, so we waddle instead of hop!! We are featuring ephemera. What is ephemera, you ask? One definition is: Collectibles, keepsakes, relics, remembrances, reminders, souvenirs, and tokens. I use a lot of these in scrapbooking. Stampin’ Up! is offering us preprinted pieces to put together on our cards and scrapbook pages. You can also cut several different die cuts from all of the amazing choices and create your own ephemera look! Here is a sneak peek of my card.
I began with a Garden Green base, scored at 4-1/4. I wanted a background that wasn’t too distracting, so I picked a Garden Green pattern from the Regals 6″ x 6″ DSP (#163774), cut it into 1-1/4″ and 1″ strips. I selected several pieces of ephemera from the Fully Flowering Mix & Match Epemera Pack (#163762) and the Labels & Layers Mix & Match Ephemera Pack (#163764). Then I literally played around with them. After arranging the pieces, I added a sentiment from the Saying Something Mix & Match Ephemera Pack (#163761). When you are in a hurry, this is a great option to have on your crafting table!!
Here is another card using more ephemera pieces. My guideline for designing with ephemera, stop when you like the look and feel of the card. It is ok to put pieces on one way, remove all of them and start again.

Welcome to our June Blog Waddle! We call ourselves ducklings, so we waddle from blog to blog instead of hopping!! We are featuring projects using Embossing Folders. Here is a sneak peek of my card. I love the deep lines and detail of the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder! Such amazing texture!
I began with a Basic White base, scored at 4-1/4. I used the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder (#162935) on a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White. It is embossed partially from one end and then a little bit from the other end, leaving a blank area between for the sentiment. The flowers are from Adoring Hearts stamp set (#162563), stamped in Memento Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends. Then I fussy cut them out. I stamped the sentiment from Cheerful Daisies (#161290) in Bubble Bath. Easy, but stunning card.

Welcome to our April Blog Waddle! We call ourselves ducklings, so we waddle instead of hop!! We are featuring projects created from the retiring 2022-2024 In Colors.
I began with an Orchid Oasis base, scored at 4-1/4″ and 2-1/2″. The DSP is cut at 1-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ and 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″. I added a layer of Basic White 5-11/4″ x 4″ inside. I used the Perennial Lavender DSP (#162593) and the Two Tone Flora stamp set and dies (#159181). The leaves from Painted Lavender (#162594) were stamped in Shaded Spruce and stamped off, too. I stamped Happy Birthday from Pansy Patch in Orchid Oasis on a piece of Basic White. I completed my quick card with a piece of White Baker’s Twine (#155475).

Welcome to our March Blog Waddle! We call ourselves ducklings, so we waddle instead of hop!! We are featuring projects created from the January-April Mini-Catalog. It isn’t very “mini” as there are lots of goodies in there! Here is a close up of the details of my card.
I began with a Bubble Bath base and a layer of about 5 x 3-3/4. Behind the top layer is a very narrow layer of Berry Burst. I used the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder (#162935) on the smaller layer of Bubble Bath. Isn’t that a stunning embossing folder? Using scraps of Basic White and Berry Burst I die cute them with the 2 smallest dies in the Thoughtful Expressions Dies (#162821). I stamped Thank You from Something Fancy (#160416) in Berry Burst on the Basic White piece. I completed my quick card with a piece of pink ribbon from the 3/8″ (1 cm) Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack (#161635). Here is my completed card!
