Stampin Stray Ducklings July Blog Waddle

Welcome to the July Stampin Stray Ducklings’ Blog Waddle! This month we are featuring cards created with a fun fold. You may have arrived here from Nancy Legate’s blog.  Following me is Kim Baker’s blog. Let us know what you think of these fantastic cards!

I created my card using the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper (#152488). It is cut at 5-1/4″ x 11-3/4″. Scored at 1-3/4″, 4-3/4″, and 7-3/4″. The card base in Old Olive, is cut to 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. Fold the DSP back and forth, adhering the largest piece of DSP to the card base. You can adhere the second and third panels together or leave them unattached and add more die cuts or stamped images. Isn’t this a fun way to show both sides of the beautiful DSP?

The die for the bottom panel is cut from the Ornate Layers Dies (#152726) in Blushing Bride. You can add another layer of Whisper White on top of the Blushing Bride, if you like. I cut a flower border in Blushing Bride using the Ornate Borders Dies (#152724). It is tucked under a piece of Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8″ Reversible Ribbon (#149496). The sentiment, from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set (#151331), is stamped in Old Olive on a piece of Old Olive cardstock cut with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (#151690). I made this an anniversary card, but it can be used for an occasion.
